3rd Annual Art / Latin Museum Visits to Philadelphia

Our 3rd annual Art/Latin Museum Trip took more than 80 students to Philadelphia, PA on Tuesday. Students participated in a fascinating mythological tour of the Philadelphia Art Museum then enjoyed local food at historic Reading Terminal Market for lunch followed by visiting the spectacular Longwood Gardens, established in 1906 by entrepreneur Pierre Du Pont.

Students Earn Several County Awards at Annual PTA Reflections Contest

13th Annual Poetry Out Loud Winners Announced!

The 13th annual Poetry Out Loud competition took place in the school library on Tuesday, December 13th. Three students from each grade level were represented at the event. Junior Garcia-Amezquita placed third, while freshman Kristin Alleyne placed second and sophomore Ellen Berenson placed first. Berenson will continue onto the regional competition on January 27th. Athletics Gains National Award

Washington-Lee High School received the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Quality Program Award at its annual conference in Nashville yesterday. Washington-Lee is the only high school to receive the prestigious award. The NIAAA award recognizes excellence in implementation and administration of a high school athletics program.
